At the highest point of the community, near the Community Hall, is a large flagpole surrounded by gardens and the War Memorial.

This War Memorial is a replica of the original Memorial tablet dedicated to the memory of  AGL employees who were killed in World War One. This memorial was lost during the demolition of the gasworks and the replica was dedicated in November 2010 by Her Excellency the Governor of NSW, Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO.

The Memorial is formed on a sandstone base with three bronze plaques. All three plaques were on the original memorial which was located at the works entrance. The largest and original plaque is in memory of the 45 employees who lost their lives in the Great War. The second plaque, originally attached to the plinth of the Great War memorial, is dedicated to all those employees who served in World War 2. No names are listed on this plaque however AGL acknowledged the service of their men and women in WW2 with this.

The Memorial is a focus on Anzac Day when the community come together for a Dawn Service to commemorate the sacrifice of those named on the Memorial and remember all those who have lost their lives in war.
