Use of BBQ Area Village Green

Home | News and Views | Amenity Updates | Use of BBQ Area Village Green

The BBQ area near the flagpole is intended to provide a space for residents who may not have a back yard or extended balcony, in order for them to have a low key get together with family and friends.

There are terms and conditions with its use, which specify a maximum of 30 people and no large external cooking equipment is allowed. This is to ensure the impact to the community, particularly those living nearby, is minimised.

Of late, there have been a number of incidents where residents have ignored the terms and conditions, and have hired roadside pizza ovens and the like. This is not acceptable and residents who do so may face suspension of their right to access community facilities.

The terms and conditions are provided at each booking and the booking form residents sign include acknowledging they have read and understood the terms and conditions; therefore ignorance is not an acceptable excuse.

The Club staff will rigorously enforce these terms and conditions, and if any resident sees one of these kinds of mobile kitchens (or cool rooms, gelato vans, ride on amusement parks or other unacceptable activities), we ask you to promptly alert the Club reception on 8765 6900 so that Club management can take action.
