The NSW Government is upgrading Cabarita Wharf as part of the Transport Access Program – an initiative
to deliver modern, safe and accessible transport infrastructure across the state.
Out of hours work will take place for up to 15 nights between Sunday 26 August and Friday 28
September, weather and maritime conditions permitting. We will be removing some existing and
temporary structures and installing new ones.
Out of hours work is necessary on this project to limit disruption to ferry services throughout the upgrade
of the wharf. Work that impacts ferry operations needs to be carried out at night, and some work also
requires calm water conditions. These conditions usually only occur in the early hours of the morning
when wind is low and there are fewer boats in the harbour.
Our night work hours will be between 11pm and 7am. To reduce the impact of noise on nearby residents,
noisy work would be limited to two consecutive nights followed by a night of quiet or no work. There will be
no night work on Saturday night or before midnight on Sunday night.
We thank you for your patience during this work and apologise for any inconvenience.
